Culmination and British Library celebration

The culmination of a huge & wonderful period of creativity and writing for me!

All the books I authored, co-authored, and the Girl God Books anthologies co-edited are now legally deposited in the British Library.

My writing centres on embodiment, spirituality & transformative education.

I believe access and resources to this work and these experiences should be available to everyone and free of charge.

Getting the books into the library was an important step towards that, and very important to me.

📚 Books I Have Authored:

Mentorship of Goddess: Growing Sacred Womanhood (June 2022)
A practical rite of passage guide to reconnecting with the sacred feminine and empowered womanhood.

Making Love with the Divine: Sacred, Ecstatic, Erotic Experiences (February 2023)
An exploration of how to find the sacred & spirituality within day-to-day life & the mundane.

Somatic Shamanism: Your Fleshy Knowing as the Tree of Life (June 2023)
A workbook that invites readers to embody their own internal wisdom through somatic practices and earth-based spirituality.

Embodied Education: Creating Safe Space for Learning, Facilitating and Sharing (September 2023)
Co-authored with my husband Dan Aldred, this book offers tools for cultivating inclusive, felt-safe, and transformative learning environments.

📖 Anthologies I Have Contributed To & Co-Edited

Re-Membering with Goddess: Healing the Patriarchal Perpetuation of Trauma (March 2022)
A powerful collection of voices reclaiming embodied feminine wisdom and healing after trauma.

Rainbow Goddess: Celebrating Neurodiversity (December 2022)
A celebration of Neurodivergent experiences through a sacred lens.

The Crone Initiation: Women Speak on the Menopause Journey (August 2023)
A heartfelt anthology where women share their personal journeys through menopause.

Pain Perspectives: Finding Meaning in the Fire (October 31, 2023)
A raw and honest exploration of pain, transformation, and resilience.

These works are deeply personal and inspired by my journey through spirituality, education, embodiment, and Neurodivergent womanhood. They are intended to support others in finding their voice, reclaiming their body, and connecting with spirituality and meaning-making in their own liberating way.

Boundaries Training

"Boundaries are essential for our wellbeing, healthy relationships and working sustainably. Intellectually I know that. Yet, as a Neurodivergent individual, I have found that understanding and setting boundaries incredibly challenging. This has been further complicated by the fact that much of the literature, self-help strategies and wellbeing approaches related to boundary setting are not Neurodivergent-informed and for me, this has been unhelpful and at times has led to shame and self-blame.

Trying to work out my boundaries and communicate them whilst simultaneously navigating sensory overload, managing social neuronormative expectations, and balancing professional demands, in environments where there was no allowed processing time, has been a struggle and I have sometimes found attempts to uphold personal limits overwhelming.

In addition, in both professional and personal contexts, I, like many other Neurodivergent people I expect, have often been encouraged (or required) to share my lived experiences to advocate for understanding, adjustment or change.

While sharing can and has been empowering at times, it has also blurred boundaries and led to feelings of overexposure or emotional exhaustion.

These are some of the reasons that inspired us to offer a new ‘Understanding Boundaries’ free resource and ‘Understanding Boundaries’ training workshop at Neurodiverse Connection."

Positive Behaviour Support: discovery, reflection and radical rethinking

"Furthermore, PBS embeds the fawn response, which is a trauma response in which individuals comply, appease, and people-please to avoid conflict or punishment. This behaviour can lead to a lifelong pattern of compliance and makes individuals more vulnerable to coercive control, with serious consequences for both mental and physical health. When an external stressor or threat to our nervous system overrides our natural fight-or-flight responses, we may feel compelled to appease authority and "perform" for those in power. This can trap us in a state of functional freeze—a survival mode in which we disconnect from our authentic selves.

The long-term effects of these interventions go beyond personal distress; they serve a larger societal function. By producing individuals who comply without question, who do not challenge authority, and who prioritise external validation over internal autonomy, PBS ensures a workforce that neatly fits within capitalist structures. This is not about empowerment or self-actualisation—it’s about creating sanitised, obedient individuals who do the bidding of those in power."

The Interdisciplinary Witch Conference: Culture, History and Society

The Interdisciplinary Witch Conference: Culture, History and Society
York St John University @yorkstjohn Friday, 20 June

Super excited to be delivering a presentation, Gender, Power, and Witchcraft: Women's ‘Spelling’ Lived Experience Storytelling, discussing the four @girlgodbooks anthologies I co-edited, at this progressive & exciting event

Interested? Details & how to book a ticket below 👇

Witches have occupied the academic imagination across disciplines and have in recent years become a rebellious feminist trope. From medieval trials to modern feminist reclamations, from folklore to popular media, witches embody resistance, transformation, and power. Whilst there is lively debate about the meaning and extent of the European and American witch trials and a burgeoning cultural milieu in which the trope of the witch is explored, there is also a growing interest in the practice of witchcraft as an individualised spirituality. This free interdisciplinary conference will explore the figure of the witch in all its historical, literary, sociocultural, political, and spiritual dimensions

Disability or difference?

5/16/2025

Someone asked me this week to comment on Neurodivergence being a difference rather than a disability.

My answer. It's both.

Neurodivergence is a difference - a natural variation of the human bodymind and is a disability due to the way society is currently structured, institutions and workplaces operate and the socially constructed attitudes of normal we collectively adhere to.

I can hold both realities to be true.

Being multiply Neurodivergent I am both disabled in the pathologising and dehumanising society and structures we currently live in

And ..

Am a different but natural variation of human bodymind.

This coming Tuesday I will complete the 8 week evening facilitation of the first spring/summer Neurodiverse Connection NdWA for Individuals Cohort & begin facilitating the 4 week half day NdWA for Practitioners Cohort 🎉

There's one cohort left with a few spaces to book this season - NdWA for Individuals - which starts Tues 27th May & runs on a Tues evening for 8 weeks 👇

What is the Neurodivergent Wellbeing Approach course?

The Neurodivergent Wellbeing Approach is a holistic, Neurodivergent-friendly wellbeing curriculum that offers education and practical strategies for Neurodivergent individuals, their family members, friends, caregivers, and professionals who support them.

This programme is based on the concept of ‘experience to share’ and is designed to promote the wellbeing of participants, which they can then share with those they care for and support.
